This actually started out as Curran, the shapeshifter character from the books by Ilona Andrews. Curran is a white lion with tiger stripes. I decided to add wings and feathers and ended up with a Lamassu-like creature.

It is very beautifull.
But I had to laugh as I imagined, how curran would look like, when he see himself with wings^^

Curran (in the books) is actually some sort of prehistoric lion from what I remember. From the Kate Daniels website: "Beast form: an enormous grey lion, striped with darker grey, like smoke blown against grey velvet."

This is still an awesome picture, and it has made me decide I need to look up more mythological and/or folkloric and/or otherwise fictional or thought to be fictional creatures.

WOW! What a beautiful beautiful creature. I'm usually worried about when animals get mixed as sometimes it doesn't seem to work but this is blended so effortlessly it really looks like a real beast.
Great job! :)
