Howrse happenings.

Journal Entry: Sat Jul 18, 2009, 3:31 PM
Alright, the update you’ve all been dying for I’m sure, what has Sighthoundlady been doing on Howrse!  Hah!

I’m here by the way:

Well passed riding level 3 so I could open my own equestrian center.  As usual I had no clue what I was doing so after several false starts and messing it up and restarting my game about 4 times I think I’m on the right track.  Focusing now on growing crops to raise funds and will do that for a few weeks before even contemplating opening up to any  boarders.

On the breeder front I’ve decided to go for breeding the best Arabians I can.  How could I NOT go Arabian?  I played with some pony breeds but it’s so hard to get anything accomplished with them.  So I bought two 14 star Arabian horses, a new born colt and filly and trained them up and got them past their first 20 wins until they were at 100 BLUP.  I named them Aisha and Al Shazam.  Bred them and used a fertility wand to get twins, two fillies I’ve named Bene Gesserit and Kefitzat Haderech.  Yes I’m a “Dune” fan. ^_~

I’ve also purchased another 14 star Stallion, already fully trained to start my breeding program.

Considering doing some line breeding as well because why not?

Eagerly awaiting my chance to pass riding level 4 so I can see the genetic info for myself, instead of having to bug some kind folks to look at it for me all the time! (Thanks to those who have helped me!)

And remember, if you think you want to play the game tell them Sighthoundlady sent you by using this link:

I'm going for Arabians too! And paint horses. I don't have level 3 yet - but I've invested in a couple of 13*foals which I'm training up. It's so frustratng not being able to see the info until level 4. I may get bored of waiting. :)

I saw your horses, they are pretty!

Well if you ever get enough passes for a Nyx pack it’s totally worth it, you can train horse fast because you don’t have to worry about aging points, makes the game a bit faster.

I can’t wait to pass riding level 4 too, I’m so anxious to see where I’m at with my breeding, I hope I haven’t totally botched it up!

Ooh - Nyx pack sounds great. It's something else to aim for - and I like goals. Much as I get impatient with not being able to see what I'm doing, I am glad that I have a longer term goal to aim for, it gives me structure.

I bet you haven't botched things, you have some pretty high GP levels as far as I can see, and all of the skills that we can't see contribute to that, so you must be heading in the right direction.:)
