Traditional Vs. Digital?

Journal Entry: Sun Jun 14, 2009, 5:25 PM
So what sort of art are you most hoping to see from me?  Traditional like the prismacolor marker art I've been doing or the digital art I usually make?

I find your digital art techniques impressive, but I would always recommend you always find the opportunity to develop your traditional skills too. Having good traditional art foundations, theories, and knowledge is always advantageous, and it means you are develop your artistic skills rather then your technical skills.
It's up to you, but I would like to see some more traditional art from you.

I prefer traditional. It's challenging, it's awesome, there's endless techniques and mediums.

You're work has always been absolutely stunning, but lately, your traditional marker work has been stealing my breath away. So much emotion comes across in your drawings and all the fine little details. I would like to see more of your marker work!!! You should do a tutorial on your techniques for that, I would really be super interested in how you choose and layer your colours.

I will tell you, that I love both very much. Maybe you should switch to entirely traditional though, so that you get tired of seeing your Cintiq lying around and want to sell it to me for dirt cheap... >_> (kidding)

Serious answer? I love your digital and traditional works equally, however, seeing your recent marker works have been really great, because previous to that, I had mostly seen digital. I also dig the marker works because it gives me some great ideas for blending colors... I am sort of a loser when it comes to working with markers (and yet I have so many!) so your marker work is educational :)
